CHIANG KHONG

We've been in Chiang Khong Monday and Tuesday. The guest center where we're holding the conference is on the Makhong River, directly across is the country of Laos. We taught 3 sessions on Monday and we'll have done 5 more by tonight. Thank the Lord! The meeting room has A/C! We had over 60 Hmong leaders with us today, please pray for the ministry.

These are long days, we hit the bed dead tired at night. Last night we were at a rather "rustic" hotel which featured box springs to sleep on (guess you had to pay extra for a mattress). But it was OK since we were so tired and the roosters got us up at 4:00am anyway.

  2. WOW, real box springs might actual be more expensive in the State…some agency would certainly levy a tax. The hard work sets eternity and I know you know that. Pastor Dan, your heart has been being set for this experience for long time. You and Pastor Paul have served our Lord with hard work, a timeless commitment with a long ministry life. The tougher the duty the greater the Lord cares and loves you guys. I am jealous for the blessings and crowns you are stacking up, and that’s not even your motivation…fringe bennies!! Miss you guys but good prayer time. Paul the FORGE was a drop-dead great close encounters with the Lord; missed your input; the FORGE is best with a full crew of pastor types. So don’t worry, Pastor Mark and Pastor John did well together. I feel very blessed to have two faithful men like you in my life for the example and model you so freely give.
